Hi There! I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend! I took stock of my go-to lipsticks recently/ Favorite Lipsticks – Nov. 2013. I’m in a serious makeup organization mode. Every once in awhile, I feel the need to clear out all my drawers and makeup storage containers to take stock of what products I have. It’s so easy to get stuck in a rut and forget to use all the great products we’ve already purchases. Doing this makeup inventory helps me rediscover products I already own and helps me avoid buying something I already have.
Favorite Lipsticks – Nov. 2013
I swatched them on my arm from bottom to top:
– Bobbi Brown Treatment Lip Shine SPF 15 (Desert Rose) Very wearable peachy/brown color with some shine
– MAC Amplified (Blankety) A little too pale nude for me but this works really well as a blush
– Face Atelier (Memphis) Super pretty pinky/peach
– Laura Mercier Creme Lip Colour Rouge a Levres (Dusk) This one is actually pretty dark; my least favorite of all of these
– Laura Geller (Dolce) This one’s really pink; more of a springtime color but fun for something different during Winter
– Giorgio Armani Shine Lipstick Rouge Brilliant (24) I love this one that’s on the plum side and slightly shimmery
– MAC Lustre (See Shear) Glossy orange; slightly sheet/not too much color
As you can tell, I’m somewhat of a peachy/pink/neutral lipstick gal (nothing too dark and dramatic for me on a day-to-day basis). For springtime, I go for even lighter shades but many of these work for me all year ’round.
What are your every day, work appropriate lipsticks? Do you have any recommendations for me?
